Easy Life Sciences (ELICE) was created in October 2009. It specializes in the development and marketing of innovative equipment (devices, consumables, reagents, etc.) for the Life Sciences community (academic researchers, pharmaceutical manufacturers, bio-tech companies and analysis laboratories).

Based on a patented technology, ELICE’s ambition is to market easy-to-use devices designed for daily use and intended for the research equipment market.

DETSCAN™ is a new technology for the electrochemical detection of biological molecules (DNA, RNA, proteins). It benefits from the technical advantages of the electronics industry: robustness, miniaturization potential, low manufacturing costs.

Prizes/awards and partnerships

  • Innovation Prize from Diderot Valorisation 2006
  • Winner of the Concours National d’aide à la création d’entreprises de technologies innovantes (2009 and 2010)
  • Member of the Paris Biotech Santé incubator (2009)
  • Scientipôle Initiative (2010)

A first product based on DETSCAN technology is currently being industrialized. It includes a multi-function device, a proprietary consumable and reagent.

This first device offers several features in one device: PCR, quantitative PCR, genotyping, detection of point mutations and quantification. It allows routine use by private and public researchers who handle DNA samples on a daily basis.
